Holiday Trash

There will be NO TRASH, HEAVY TRASH, LEAF SERVICE or CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICE on November 22nd in observance of Thanksgiving; however, all Thursday routes will be picked up on Friday, November 23rd, and all Friday routes will be picked up on Saturday, November 24th.

Thanksgiving Meal Assistance

Thanksgiving Meal Registration: 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Watkins Park, 2360 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. Those in need can request carryout or delivery of free dinners on Thursday. Delivery times vary, carryout available starting around noon, Thursday. Limited meals available. Walk in to register. Phone calls only accepted for homebound individuals. Registration required. Free Drive-In Movie

The Skyline Drive-In is doing a FREE showing of Elf on Saturday December 1st. Doors open at 5pm and movie starts at 6pm.

IPS Magnet School Applications

Indianapolis Public School – Magnet School Applications are due December 15, 2012.  Everyone must apply each year for magnet schools even if their children are currently enrolled in one.  Please make sure to get your application in on time.

Arsenal Tech Annual Madrigal Dinner

Re-enactment of ancient Advent Season celebration also known as the Boar’s Head Feast harolding the arrival of the Christmas season. Time period roughly 14th & 15th century based upon 1340 Oxford College tradition. Guests are encouraged to wear period costumes!

An evening of merriment that beckons patrons to step back into time and enjoy a fantasy of kings and queens in their royal court with knights and fair maidens at Christmastide. Feasting, singing, skits, laughter, prayer, and concluding with a concert of Sacred Carols. The students of Arsenal Tech trade their school uniforms for period costumes and spend many hours perfecting their performance. Caution, the evening is interactive and you are required to enjoy yourself!
