Quality of Life Plan Website

We are putting together a Quality of Life Plan Website for the Near Eastside to make the plan more accessible to the neighborhood.  If you would like to volunteer to be on a committee to review the site and offer ideas for what needs to be on it, please contact Megan Fetter at mfetter@jhbcc.org or by phone at 317-808-2336

Neighborhood Quarterly Summit Planning

A group is getting together to review information for the next quarterly neighborhood summit.  They will be meeting on 9/18/12 from 6 – 7pm at the John H. Boner Community Center to begin this process.  The meetings will happen monthly until the summit.  If you would like to participate please contact Megan Fetter at mfetter@jhbcc.org or by phone at 317-808-2336

Community Council Meeting

Physical Recreation at the CommonWealth

Looking for ways to stay healthy, have fun, and meet new neighbors ?  Join us for physical recreation at the CommonWealth Gymnasium, 23 North Rural Street.   Every week we’ll offer three different team sports.

 Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m. – Basketball

Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. – Volleyball

Mondays, 7:00 p.m. – Dodgeball

 You can bring an entire team ready to play, or if you’re solo, you can join others that are there to create a team on the spot.  All players must be a minimum of age 13 and will be required to sign a waiver prior to playing.  $2.00 per person.  For more information, please contact Kyle Mobley at 437-1507

Arsenal Tech Centennial Celebration

Arsenal Technical High School will be celebrating their centennial year with a variety of events from September 14-16, 2012.  For a full listing of events, please see the event Facebook page.

Elder Elite Walk Ice Cream Social

WHEN:  FRIDAY September 14TH    from 11:30 to 1:00 pm                       

WHERE:     John H. Boner Community Center – Elders Department

 COST:  $2.00  (prepayment requested upon order but can be paid at pickup)

 We will have vanilla ice creamcones or sundaes. Sundae topping choices are chocolate strawberry and carmel.
